Air conditioning systems are classified into three types: orifice tube systems, expansion valve systems, and a combination of the two, which is found in rear air conditioning systems. Components of an air conditioning system include a compressor, condenser, evaporator, orifice tube (or expansion valve), and an accumulator (or receiver-drier).
